2oz Fiberglass

We apply a high-quality 2-ounce fiberglass membrane to all repairs for lasting strength and durability. Unlike competitors who use thinner 1-ounce strands, our process ensures superior reinforcement. Every seam is feathered for a smooth, seamless finish, then saturated with resin using the hand layup method for complete bonding and protection.

HVAC pipe

For added durability and protection, AOF removes the HVAC unit, secures the electrical wires within a waterproof conduit, and applies fiberglass to the pipe and roof deck floor. This method locks everything in place with a strong, watertight seal that protects against leaks and extends the life of your system before reinstalling the unit.

Over Floor

The over floor is the section located next to the scupper box on the roof deck. It’s designed to ensure proper water flow toward the drainage system and is sealed to prevent leaks or water damage around the scupper area.

Vent Installation

Ventilators on your roof deck help improve both longevity and air circulation. They allow airflow between your home and the roof deck, helping to regulate temperature. Because the roof deck is elevated and absorbs the most heat, the vents work by releasing hot air and allowing cooler air to flow in, maintaining a balanced and durable structure.

Scupper Boxes

Scupper boxes are designed to drain water off your roof deck or balcony. Each deck and balcony is built with a specific slope to prevent water pooling. In some cases, downspouts are also used to direct water flow. If installing a new scupper box isn’t possible or preferred by the client, we can reposition the existing one to improve drainage.

When repairing a scupper box, we lower and sand the surrounding area—typically about six feet behind it—to ensure proper water flow. For a full replacement, we remove the existing box, lower the area by approximately two inches (or more if needed), and adjust the slope to optimize drainage performance.

Gel Coat Paint

This is the final step in our process. Our standard stock colors are Stone Edge (Light Gray) and Pebble (Cream Beige). Additional colors from our catalog are available for an extra fee. While the gel coat does not provide waterproofing, it serves as the finishing layer that gives your roof deck a clean, polished, and seamless aesthetic—leaving you with a flawless final look.
